Keys stay on your server.

Your server trades a signed request for a short chat session. The browser only ever sees the session.

  1. Create a server key

An admin creates an API key in Settings. Each key belongs to one organization and one agent.

  2. Start a chat session

Your server signs a short-lived request with the key and gets back a short chat session.

  3. Chat from your app

Send only the session to the browser. The API key never leaves your server.

The same rules as the app.

API answers come from the same knowledge base and follow the same access rules as askneutron itself, so you don’t rebuild permissions in your product.

  • Each key is tied to one organization and one agent
  • Rotate with a 24-hour overlap, or revoke at once
  • Results respect source permissions
